How do I care for my watch?

Mix olive oil and lemon juice, one to one, then add a small amount of it on a soft cloth. Make sure to spread the mixture evenly on the material and apply to the wood evenly. Another, more lasting option that we recommend is to apply a coating of beeswax or walnut oil. Regularly caring for your watch in this manner (Every few months) will help protect it against damage such as cracks in the wood and also make the wood more durable. The good news is that the natural oil for your skin will also help protect your watch and will make your watch richer in color. 

 

Are the watches waterproof?

They are not waterproof but ARE water resistant to light splashes that are wiped off.   Keep in mind that since each piece is slightly different in size and they won't be 100% sealed like a metal watch. For example, Don't take them in the shower, jump in a pool, or walk around in the rain. Don't worry about washing your hands or getting light splashes on your watch. Just make sure to wipe liquid off quickly to ensure the wood lasts.

 

Can I bring the sunglasses in water?

You can bring the sunglasses in water. If you do, just make sure you regularly care for the wood. Check the FAQ titled, "How do I care for my sunglasses" for details on how to care for your sunglasses. 

 

Will my sweat ruin the wood?

It will not ruin the wood. However, your sweat might naturally make the wood discolor on the inside overtime. This is normal with wood. To help prevent this make sure to regularly care for your watch by following our "How do I care for my watch?" FAQ. 

 

Which shipping provider do we use?

We use USPS for all domestic shipments. USPS is also used for international orders and then are passed to your countries local shipping provider for final delivery. 

 

How do I size my watch?

We always recommend taking your watch to your nearest watchmaker/jeweler to be sized. They would remove links just like they would with any metal watch that has links. All of the watches come with extra links to be sure they will fit.

 

What kind of movement is used inside the watch?

Miyota quartz movement. Battery powered. 

 

How do I care for my sunglasses?

What is your cancellation policy?

Once orders are shipped out you can not cancel the order. 

 

Do you charge sales tax?

Sales tax is only charged to orders that are shipped to California. All other states and countries have no sales tax online. 

 

What is your refund/exchange policy?

-If you damage the product there are no returns.
-You have 25 days from the date you receive the product to notify us of a return or exchange. Then up to 10 days after the 25th day of your purchase to send it back after notifying us of the exchange or return.
-The customer pays the return shipping costs in the case of a return unless something was deemed out of their control.

How does the 1 year limited warranty work for our Watches?
 

Your watch comes with a 1 year limited warranty for anything that is repairable without replacing the watch face (Basically, this covers anything except broken glass, cracked bezel, or cracked watch face). If it is deemed un-reparable by us or physically damaged (Broken because of poor care) then the warranty will not cover it. The warranty does not cover batteries. Please go to our FAQ page to learn more about how to care for your watch or sunglasses. 

How does your 90 day guarantee on your sunglasses work?

You have a 90 day guarantee on your sunglasses that starts after you receive them in the mail (Verified by the tracking information from USPS). This covers any manufacture defects and ensures you didn't receive a defective pair. 

Where is Woodie Specs based out of?

We are a San Diego, CA company that was established in 2013.
